 Texas Tea Room & Museum

The Texas Tea Room is located in the restored 1903 Bank of Carthage and later First National Bank building, located on the southwest corner of the downtown square in Carthage, TX. It now houses the Panola County Heritage Museum on the third floor of the building. The Texas Tea Room was opened on the bottom floor of the building in 1983. Over the years, The Texas Tea Room has become a favorite of not only the residents of Carthage and Panola County, but a host of tourists from all over the world as well as many well known celebrities! The history of the square in Carthage as well as the bank building itself, offer a unique experience for all of our guests!

The Texas Tea Room boasts of new owners and a new look! Mark and Jena VanWinkle  offer many new features at The Texas Tea Room. Not only has the first floor of the building been renovated, but the menu has a fresh new makeover. With the new capabilities, Mark and Jena are excited to offer lunch and dinner! They offer a newly renovated second floor that is available for events and parties!

Come visit The Texas Tea Room and see the new look and try out the new menu items.  Also, take a trip upstairs to the museum and enjoy learning about the rich history of our great county!
